The University of Calabar, UNICAL, is set to make history with the graduation of 32 first class students, during its 36th convocation ceremony.
Speaking during the pre-convocation briefing held at the institution in Calabar, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Florence Obi said 8,415 students will receive First degrees, while an additional 438 students will earn Doctorate with 754 receiving Master’s degrees.
Professor Obi further noted that as part of activities to mark the convocation ceremony, the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman alongside other TETFUND officials would inaugurate five projects executed by the Fund.
Also, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Most Reverend Dr. Matthew Kukah is scheduled to deliver the convocation lecture.
The University’s 36th convocation ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 2024.
