Unicef to support 4 North-East states

The United Nations Children Fund, Unicef says it would support children’s education, health and protection in the 4 states North-East states of Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa and Taraba.

Unicef Chief Field Officer, Bhanu Pathak disclosed this during a courtesy call on Governor Inuwa Yahaya at the Government House in Gombe, the state capital.

Pathak said more donors are ready to support health care in the North East which is a region in need of help.

In the face of high mortality and inadequate medical facilities a lot needs to be done to create habitable conditions for children in the North-East.

Governor Yahaya in his address called for collaboration with donor agencies
