United Nigeria Airlines has withdrawn its CRJ-900 aircraft from operations to undergo comprehensive technical inspections and maintenance before returning to service.
In a travel advisory, the airline says the decision follows a bird strike involving the aircraft.
According to a statement by its public relations officer, Chibuike Uloka, the incident occurred during the landing of Flight UN0579 from the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, scheduled for 6:15 pm, on Tuesday evening. As a result, some flights across its network may experience disruptions.
