Imo State Governor, Hope has charged Nigerian Universities to rise up to their expected role of leading the way to a new Nigeria.
The Governor says the centres of learning can do this by producing graduates that are disciplined, skillful, and not corrupt.

Uzodimma was speaking as a Guest lecturer at the 52nd Convocation of University of Nigeria, Nsukka titled: “Why Universities should lead the way to a new Nigeria.”
According to the Governor, to improve the ability of Nigerian Universities to play the roles expected of them, the Federal government should establish ICT centres in all Universities, Secondary and Primary schools across the country as well as strengthen the law establishing the Nigeria Universities Commission.

Uzodimma, also advocates that university should be able to produce graduates that would make positive impacts in national development.
The Governor challenged the UNN, as one of the oldest universities in Nigeria, to lead the way towards the country’s rebirth.
