An unspecified number of passengers have been feared dead as the vehicle conveying them lost control and plunged into an excavation pit, said to be over 36 feet deep.
The accident which involved an unidentified shuttle bus, occurred Saturday, around 1:30 pm, along Abakaliki/Ikwo expressway in Enyigba-Izzi community, Abakaliki Local Government’ Area of Ebonyi state.

ait. live gathered that the accident scene is just 10minutes away from the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo.
As at press time, local divers claimed that they have sighted the vehicle and making frantic efforts to lift it out.
