Monday Okpebholo
Edo state Governor, Monday Okpebholo

Edo state governor, Monday Okpebholo, has arrived in Kano to meet with his counterpart, Abba Yusuf at the Ante chamber of the Government House Kano with high powered delegation of top government functionaries.

The visit of the Edo State governor to the governor of Kano State and the people is coming twenty four hours after governor Abba Yusuf confirmed communication with him over the killing of some Indigenes in Uromi last week..

Governor Okpebholo regretted the unfortunate and dastardly act, assuring that arrest is already being made and a transparent investigation will be done and made known to the public.

The governor of Edo State appreciated his Kano State counterpart for ensuring that no reprisal attacks took place in Kano State, since the incident happened, just as he assured that compensation would be paid to the families of the victims.

At the time of this report, Governor Abba Yusuf was leading the Edo State Governor and his team to pay condolence visits to the family of the victims.

The move was one among several others being deployed by both state governors to douce the tension already in place.
