Edo state Deputy Governor Philip Shuaibu has emphasized the commitment of Edo state government to the development of communities in the state.
Declaring the 2023 convention of Usagbe club of Nigeria tagged “Community Development In A Dynamic political environment”, open in Benin city, the Edo State Deputy Governor commended members of the club for sustaining the values of societal development.
The Usagbe Club of Nigeria ,over the years, has demonstrated its commitment to the development of the Weppa Wanno and Uzanu communities.
Shuaibu acknowledged the need for community deelopment which he says had been the main focus of the Obaseki- led government especially in the areas of road construction, health, security and electricity.
Prominent lawyer Mike Ozekhome in a lecture titled “Creating An Enabling Environment for Investment in Weppa, Wanno and Uzanu Communities” highlighted the cultural and social factors that inhibits economic development.
Highlight of the convention was the induction of new members.
