The United States Agency for International Development’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (USAID-BHA) has launched a Rapid Response Fund RRF project in Benue State.
The humanitarian project which will benefit about 213,640 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the State, is the first intervention by the US agency in the North Central region.
First humanitarian response by the United States Government through its agency for international development USAID in the North Central region officially inaugurated here in Benue State.
The implementation International Organisation For Migration IOM through its chief of mission to Nigeria Laurent Boeck gave an overview of the exceptional humanitarian response plan which will span a 6 month period.
Earlier the agency and other relevant partners visited the internally displaced persons camp Ichwa, were they donated dignity kits.
On arrival, the team was earlier received by the Deputy Governor Sam Ode at the Old banquet hall of the Government house.
