The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has expressed the determination of his administration to give the womenfolk a pride of place.
The Governor gave the assurance during the grand finale of the 2020 Annual Imo women August meeting held at the Heroes Square, Owerri.
It was a memorable day for Imo women who celebrated the conclusion of their annual August meeting which took place in the 27 local government area of the state.
Addressing the women, Uzodinma pledged total commitment in support of issues concerning them.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Lai Mohammed, in his remarks at the occasion, described women as the pivot on which society revolves.
Wife of the Governor, Chioma Uzodinma, spoke about wave of violence against women.

Chioma Uzodinma, however, appreciated the Governor for his gender friendly disposition, manifested in the appointment of women to various positions.
