Vice- Chancellor of the University of Ilorin in Kwara State, North-Central Nigeria, Professor Wahab Egbewole raises alarm over increased number of academics within the institution moving out of the country in search of better living conditions.
Professor Egbewole who expressed the concern at media briefing ahead of the combined 37th and 38th convocation ceremonies of the University decried the current development which has seen the best of academics leaving the country in numbers.
The Vice Chancellor says the University of Ilorin will remain steadfast in the advancement of knowledge, innovation and cutting-edge research, needed to foster inclusivity and an enabling environment where students can thrive.
