Victims of the demolition embarked upon by the new administration of Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State have taken to the streets in their hundreds to condemn what they describe as a destructive act.
The protesters gathered in front of the demolished multi-million Naira Daula Hotel carrying placards with various inscriptions condemning the government action.
Addressing newsmen, leader of the group Coalition for Good Governance and Change Initiative, Zahraddeen Sani said it is unfortunate that properties worth over N226 billion have been destroyed within three weeks in office of the new administration.
The group also called on the government to compensate the victims whose properties were destroyed.
