At least Sixteen bandits suspected to be Fulani Militia were killed while others escaped with injuries in Bangalala Community of Wase local Government area of Plateau State after a Clash with a Vigilante in the early hours of Sunday.
A resident of the Community who does not want his name mentioned told AIT that the bandits who had earlier given a quit notice to residents to evacuate or be attacked, had invaded the village with the aim of attacking famers when they met a stiff resistance from members of the vigilante and as a result, sixteen of them were killed while two members of the Vigilante Group also lost their lives.

Efforts the get a confirmation from the spokesman for the special Task Force Operation Safe Haven Major Ishaku Takwa was unsuccessful as he could not be reached as at the of filing in this report.
