Vigilante Group Nabs 2 Suspected Bandits in Kebbi State

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria, (VGN) has arrested two suspected bandits at Janruwa Grazing Reserve in Kanya District of Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The Chairman of the local government, Hussaini Aliyu Bena, explained that, last Wednesday, he received a call from the District Head of Kanya informing him about the arrest of the two suspected bandits by the Vigilantes.

According to the chairman, on receiving the call, he directed that the suspects should not be killed but to be handed over to the police.

Aliyu Bena said that during the arrest, one of the bandits tried to escape, but was rearrested.

While thanking the state government for its logistics support to the Vigilante and other volunteers in the area, the Chairman assured of continued support to the joint security team to ensure more peace in the area.(Editor: Paul Akhagbemhe)
