Highlighting the strategic goals of the United Nations, Mrs Mohammed commended the efforts of Kano State in addressing key items of the SDGs, while pledging the global body’s support for the state government in key areas.

The provision of solar-powered street lights in Kano, planting of trees, establishment of Kano disease control center, creation of a ministry of power and the repositioning of the state’s environmental and climate change sector, in line with UN’s climate action goals, were some of the issues Governor Yusuf highlighted while addressing the UN top official.
