The national boundary commission is to carry out a comprehensive ethnographic study on the boundary dispute between Ebonyi and Cross river states, with the view to resolving the crisis.
Briefing state house correspondents on Tuesday at the end of the tenth board meeting of the national boundary commission with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the presidential villa, Abuja, the acting director-general of the commission, Adamu Adaji said it is intervening in the dispute between the two states.
On the boundary disputes between Benue and Ebonyi states, Adaji added that the commission has resumed demarcation process that was stalled for many years.
Other issues discussed at the meeting according to the acting D.g, include the 2019 promotion of staff of the national boundary commission, status of interstate boundaries in Nigeria, essence of boundaries as administrative limits of states and the need to increase sensitisation and awareness of the public on the work of the commission.
