President Bola Tinubu has given the assurance that his administration will put a stop to the senseless killings that have claimed scores of lives with properties worth billions of Naira destroyed.
This was made known by the Vice President Kashim Shettima who led a Federal Government delegation to Jos, the Plateau State capital on a condolence visit to the Government and people of the state.
The top Federal government team which included the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribado and the Chief of Defense Staff, Lt. Gen. Chris Musa also visited some of the affected communities.
The Vice President Kashim Shetima and his delegation who had arrived at the Yakubu Gowan Airport, Haipang were received by Governor Caleb Mutfwang in company of two former Governors of the State and thereafter, proceeded to Bokkos Local Government which was worse hit by the Christmas Eve massacre, allegedly carried out by suspected Fulani militias which left over One hundred people dead.
While sympathizing with the Government and people, the Vice President said that the Bola Tinubu’s administration will leave no stone unturned in putting an end to the senseless killings that has been going-on in Plateau state.
Governor Mutfwang while appreciating the feyderal Government for the support, called on political leaders in the state to put away their differences and join hands to end the killings.
The Vice President later held a town hall meeting which had in attendance various political groups, religious and traditional leader, before departing the State.
