Vice President Kashim Shettima has welcomed a proposal from India’s private school to bring its “KYAN” Smart‑class package to Nigerian schools.

He urged the firm to work with Federal officials to adapt the technology—especially the content—to Nigeria’s curriculum and to focus on primary and secondary levels, citing successful pilots in Borno, Edo and Enugu States.

Authorities of the Indian firm, Schoolnet described the “KYAN” as a “school in a box”, an all‑in‑one projector‑computer that turns any wall into a digital board, pre‑loaded with grades 1‑10 material and AI‑enhanced where internet is available.

They pledged to customize the solution for Nigerian contexts, including offline use in remote areas, and said it could raise teacher effectiveness from average to “star” level.
