Vice President Kashim Shettima, has arrived Enugu State, South-East Nigeria, on official visit to launch the “Light Up South East Initiative”.
Shettima touched down at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu at about 9:55am, where he was received by the Governor Peter Mbah and his counterparts from Imo, Anambra, and Ebonyi states, other senior government officials, as well as notable leaders from the zone.

Besides the launch of the “Light Up South East Initiative”, aimed at accelerating power supply to industrial clusters in the region, the Vice President will also participate in the South-East Business Roundtable.
This event will feature discussions among top government officials and business leaders on delivering reliable and sustainable power to industrial and residential areas in the region.
Thereafter, Vice President Shettima will proceed to Aba, Abia State, where he is scheduled to inaugurate a mega-electricity project.
