The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, is making a bold move to mend the political relationship between the Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
The Vice President was.in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, where he represented President Bola Tinubu at the wedding of the son of SGF Samuel Akume.
He noted that as a political leader in Northern Nigeria,it is his responsibility to mend the strained relationship between the two political leaders in the state.
The Vice President used the occasion to speak on the rift between the Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume and the State Governor Hyacinth Alia,where the two political leaders pledged to work together for the good the State.
Earlier the SGF appreciated the President for honoring his family during their moment of celebration.
