Vice President Kashim Shettima says the administration of President Bola Tinubu is committed to the issues of girl-child education and gender empowerment.
The Vice President said this on Wednesday when he hosted the united nations peace messenger and girls’ education activist, Malala Yousafzai, alongside the United Nations deputy secretary general Amina Mohammed at the Presidential Villa Abuja.

Malala is in Nigeria to celebrate her 26th birthday.
The visit also coincided with the celebration of her 10th anniversary of delivering her UN speech.
speaking to state House correspondent after the meeting , Malala emphasized the importance of investing in girls’ education for future generations.
The UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed advocated for improved quality education for the girl child.

Vice President Shettima says the Tinubu administration will vigorously pursue the implementation of SDGs 4 and 5.
