The Super Falcons of Nigeria will face the Copper Queens of Zambia in the third-place match of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco
on Friday.
The encounter will be the Super Falcons’ final game of their failed title defence after Randy Waldrum’s women lost their semifinal game to hosts Morocco in a penalty shootout despite losing two players to red cards in the second half.
The Super Falcons were no doubt disappointed with the outcome of the Morocco game having put in a heroic performance despite going down to nine players.

A win against Zambia will certainly be a great relief as they plan to take a consolatry medal back home
Despite the disappointment of losing out, the Super Falcons are expected to give their all on the pitch as they have always done.
Although their best was not good enough against Morocco, it may just be enough to clinch the third place.
Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum has shown a lot of potential in his management system, however, the team and fans need to see more.
Contrary to belief, there is still something to play for in this tournament despite the fact that both teams have already qualified for the World Cup, the fans expect attacking and passionate football
The kick off time for the third place match is 9.pm Nigerian time at the Stade Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.
