Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has declared his team’s readiness for the clash with the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.

The nine-time champions will battle the title holders for a place in the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Casablanca on Tuesday.

Nigeria thrashed the Copper Queens of Zambia 5-0 in the quarter-finals.

The Super Falcons returned to training on Monday after observing a break on Sunday.

Madugu said his players are focused on the task ahead.

“The preparations are good, the girls have been very committed, determined, they are in good shape, they are well prepared,” Madugu told a press conference.

Meanwhile Banyana Banyana of South Africa head coach Desiree Ellis has expressed concern over his team’s preparation for their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash with the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

The defending champions defeated Senegal 4-1 on penalities in a thrilling quarter-final contest on Saturday night.

The game ended 0-0 after 120 minutes of grueling action.

South Africa will have a day less to prepare for the clash with Nigeria’s Super Falcons, who were in action against Copper Queens on Friday

Ellis feels his players may not have enough time to recover for the game against Nigeria.

“We are going to prepare because 120 minutes with a day less to prepare and a day to travel takes a lot,” Ellis told Sowetan Live.
