Wave of Ward Suspensions; Lauretta Onochie is latest victim

Chairman, Board of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC Loretta Onochie has been suspended by the Executive of her ward in Delta State.

The executive of Onicha-Olona, ward 4 of Aniocha Local Government Area of Delta state alleged that there was enough evidence to show her support for the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar and other PDP candidates during the February 25 and March 11 General elections.

Twenty:six out of Twenty-seven members of the executive signed the letter of suspension.

The letter of suspension claimed that the former Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media worked against the success of the party in Onicha Olona Ward 4 and beyond as evident in the loss of APC in her polling unit 8,ward 4 in all the elections.

The ward executive also noted that she also failed to fulfill her financial obligations to the party and has never attended any ward or local Government Area meetings or other party engagements.
Other notable politicians susoended recently by their ward executives are Iyorchia Ayu and Julius Abure.
