Over one hundred communities in Allawa District of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State have been attacked by bandits from 2015 and about #250m have been paid as ransom between 2015.
Representative of Allawa, one of the eight political wards in Lakpma axis of Shiroro Local Government Area, Jibrin Allawa disclosed this during a press conference in Minna, the Niger State capital.
He said Banditry attacks began in Allawa in 2015, leading to the loss of over 120 lives as at 2017 and the figure is still increasing.
Jibrin Allawa said all the people are asking is for their elected political leaders to come to their rescue, stressing that unless the needful is done, bandits will continue to invade Allawa and Gyara Miya communities.

The people are hoping that adequate measures would be put in place to address the plights of the communities on the Lakpma axis of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
