Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has said his administration is investigating accusing fingers being pointed at some contractors and asphalt producers of shortchanging the State in ongoing road projects across the State.
Oborevwori who made this disclosure when he received officials of the Isoko Church Leaders Forum, led by the Anglican Bishop of Oleh Diocese, Rt. Rev’d John Aruakpor at the Government House, Asaba said his resolve to ensure that Deltans get value for their money is not negotiable.
Governor Oborevwori emphasised that his government was doing everything within its powers to live up to the expectations of the people of the State and with that mindset, will not tolerate sub-standard jobs from any contractor.

According to the Governor, his administration’s MORE Agenda was on course and with commitment, prayers and support of all, the State will witness unprecedented development that will stand the test of time.
Describing the church as one of the strongest ally of his government, Oborevwori thanked the leadership of the Isoko Church Leaders Forum, for appreciating some of the things his administration has been able to achieve in Isoko nation, including the completion of the first phase of Emevor – Ivrogbo – Orogun Road, the recent award of the second phase, and the Olomoro – Igbide Road projects.
President of the Isoko Church Leaders Forum, Bishop Aruakpor had earlier commended the Governor for the appointment of Isoko sons and daughters into key positions and other developmental strides in their area.
He further pledged their unalloyed loyalty, support and continued prayers to the Governor and his government.
