Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara says his greatest desire is to make the majority of the people of the State happy, irrespective of their tribe or political affiliation.

In line with his mantra of “Rivers First,” the Governor assures that he would continue to embark on projects and policies that will make life more meaningful for the people.

Speaking after he inspected work on a road project in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Governor Fubara noted that the interest of the people will continue to be on top of his administration’s priority list.

A joyous crowd of residents of Okania community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area had trooped out to welcome their Governor, Sim Fubara in what appeared a little, but significant way of showing appreciation to the Governor for coming to their aid, after previous administrations had abandoned and neglected them.

Governor Fubara had in May 2024, flagged off the construction of their road, which has for a long time been in a terrible state of disrepair.

Commuting the area had been a nightmare for the residents and other road users who were usually forced to navigate the deep pools and pots that littered the road.

While work on the drainage is nearing completion, the contractor assured that the project will be delivered before the end of the year.

In keeping with his targets, Governor Sim Fubara says the primary goal of his administration is to make the people happy by embarking on projects and policies that will make life more meaningful for them.

Governance, according to him, is all about the interest and happiness of the people.

To this end, the Governor explained that his administration will continue to give priority to critical areas such as agriculture, education, health, and human empowerment.

He also called on the people to unite and key into the dream of building a prosperous Rivers State.
