The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) is gearing up to host the second edition of the West Africa Trophy, scheduled for December 4–14, 2025, at the Twin Oval of the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

Preparations are in full swing as Nigeria prepares to welcome some of Africa’s strongest emerging cricket sides. Excitement is already building across the continent ahead of what many expect to be the most competitive edition of the tournament so far.

This year, four nations will battle for regional supremacy — Nigeria (hosts), Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Zambia.

Each team is expected to feature a mix of rising talents and seasoned players ready to showcase their abilities on the international stage.

At the MKO Abiola Stadium, groundsmen, technical crews, and volunteers are working closely with the NCF to ensure world-class match conditions and a seamless tournament experience.

According to the Federation, the 2025 edition will deliver high-intensity cricket, tactical excellence, and standout performances, building on the success of the inaugural event.

Beyond competition, the West Africa Trophy continues to serve as a vital platform for African cricket nations — helping teams test their abilities, gain international exposure, and strengthen sporting camaraderie across the region.

From December 4th to 14th, Abuja will become the heart of African cricket as Nigeria welcomes Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Zambia for ten days of electrifying action.
