A staff of the World Health Organization, WHO has tested positive for Coronavirus in Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aliyu Muhammad Maigoro who confirmed this in a statement said the officer had visited Kano State where he is believed to have contracted the virus.

In the statement signed on behalf of the Commissioner by Sani Ibrahim, all the contacts of the new case in Bauchi and Kano States have been identified and isolated.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner in company of the Executive Chairman of the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed has officially sealed the Field Office of WHO and the United Nations Children’s Fund, Unicef in Bauchi. The complex which has been decontaminated will remain closed down for 2 weeks.
