Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has cancelled the planned peace walk in the state with some youths and stakeholders in sympathy with the victims of police brutality.
Governor Sanwo-olu in a statement by the Ministry of Information on Thursday explained that his desire to continue with the planned peace walk has been constrained by the sudden surge in the new COVID-19 Variant Omicron cases in the state ,adding that he would not want to endanger the life of any Lagosian.
The governor however expressed gratitude to the youths and students who have declared their intention to participate in the peace walk with him.

Governor Sanwo – olu at the wake of the outbreak of COVID-I9 pandemic in 2020, explained that his administration chose not to be guided by emotions but on expert opinion rooted on scientific facts to curtail the spread of the virus in the state.
