Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu says, the Late Lady Adanma Okpara, wife of the former Premier of the old Eastern Region, Michael Okpara, lived a fulfilled life, serving God and humanity.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, the governor said, he received the news of her death with a heavy heart and prayed to God to give her family, the fortitude to bear the loss.

According to the press release, Ikpeazu observed that the spousal support she provided for her late husband, was instrumental, to the monumental success he recorded as Premier.
The governor said that Lady Okpara remained a model of excellent womanhood and a fountain of knowledge, from which most women drank freely.
Governor Ikpeazu on behalf of the government and people of Abia State prayed that the Almighty God will grant her soul eternal rest.
