The Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has accused his predecessor Rotimi Amaechi of playing politics with the death of Alabo Graham Douglas, noting that the Former Minister of Transportation never assisted or honoured any requests made by the late elder statesman.

Governor Wike said his administration did everything humanly possible to keep the late Graham Douglas alive and also fulfilled all the promises the former Governor made and failed to keep.

Governor Nyesom Wike was at the Ogbunabali area of Port Harcourt to commission an ultra modern seven-storey complex rebuilt by his administration.

The Governor used the occasion to respond to his predecessor and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi; who accused his administration of not giving the late Alabo Graham-Douglas a state burial.

Governor Wike noted that Rotimi Amaechi is merely using the death of the elder statesman to score cheap political points; saying that unlike Amaechi who was never there for him, his own administration did everything humanly possible to help keep Graham-Douglas alive.

He accused Rotimi Amaechi of failing to assist or fulfill any of the promises he made to the late elder statesman.

He added that as Former Minister of Transportation, Ameachi denied Rivers State what was due to it

The Governor said he will not hesitate to expose more dirty secrets about the former Governor and former transportation Minister if he persist with his campaign of lies against him.
