Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike says the state will never be part of and can never be cowed into succumbing to a baseless and doomed secessionist agenda.
The Governor made the assertion while condoling with the Nigeria Police over the killing of some officers on the 7thof May by unknown gunmen.
He says the State will not be intimidated by sporadic and cowardly attacks on predetermined security targets by faceless criminals.
According to the governor, the last few days have witnessed unjustified killings of 11 Policemen in Rivers State… a period he describes as Dark for the State and Country.

The Governor has on behalf the State offered support to the families of all the 11 deceased officers.
Responding, Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Francis says the Command is touched by the gesture.
He says the Officers and Men of the Command will never shy away from protecting lives and property in the State, no matter the cost.
A minute silence was observed in honour of the fallen Officers
