RIVERS
Rivers State Traditional Rulers with Governor Sim Fubara at their last meeting of 2024

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara says his administration will continue to promote and preserve the interests of all people, both indigenous and non-indigenes.

He vows never to betray the trust bestowed on him as he assures that things will continue to improve under his watch.

Declaring open the last quarterly meeting of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, Governor Fubara says he will not rest until his administration fulfils all the promises made to the people.

It was the 119th and 120th combined meeting of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers which was also the last for the year 2024. It provides an opportunity for the monarchs to commend Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his generosity and the good works of his administration.

The year 2024 has witnessed a lot of political upheavals in Rivers State and with 2025 just hours away, the traditional rulers are calling on the political gladiators to embrace peace.

The Rivers State Governor also reminds the traditional rulers of the critical role they play in fostering peace and development of the state.

Tuesday also sees Governor Siminalayi Fubara present certificates of recognition and staff of office to four traditional rulers.

He further assures that his administration will continue to hold the monarchs in high esteem and will not do anything to undermine them.
