Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has relieved the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service, FCT-IRS, Michael Ango, of his duties.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, the removal of the Acting Chairman takes immediate effect. The statement did not provide specific reasons for the action but emphasised the Minister’s directive for a smooth transition.

The most senior official within the FCT-IRS has been instructed to assume leadership of the agency with immediate effect to ensure continuity in operations as the administration moves to strengthen revenue management in the territory.
