Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has warned Nigerians to be wary of politicians going about saying they want to rescue the country.

The governor noted that they are doing so with the sole aim of stealing whatever funds or asset left behind by the current APC led Federal Government.

Speaking during the flag-off of the internal roads in Eneka Community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Governor Wike said he has privilege information about their sinister motives and would at the appropriate time disclose it to Nigerians.

He said that Good governance is about making the people happy and should not about party or personal interest.

He maintained that he is at a loss why some politicians have decided to lose sleep over his matter.

The governor wants Nigerians to be wary of politicians running around claiming they want to rescue the country, saying that their motives are sinister.

He added that he would never succumb to any blackmail or intimidation.

Governor Nyesom Wike also used the occasion to warn the contractor handling the Eneka internal roads project that he would not tolerate any excuses.

Apart from ensuring that the project is of high standard, the Governor said he expects the job to be delivered within five months as stipulated in the contract.
