About 200 properties have been destroyed in Kuta, the headquarters of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, North-Central Nigeria.
The destruction followed windstorm that hit the area with heavy rainfall in the early hours of Saturday.
According to an eyewitness, more than 100 business premises were also affected including 38 houses, two mosques, as well as schools.

The Education Department of Shiroro Local Government Area, General Hospital and Veterinary Hospital were some of the structures affected by the disaster.
Eleven persons are reported to have also sustained different degree of injuries.
