The Federal Government has kicked off another phase of empowerment for the Nigerian women with the launch of tricycles distribution for women within the FCT.
The Minister of women affairs Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye says the project code-named pink riders scheme will spread from the FCT to all the six geo political zones of the country.
The pink riders scheme, an initiative of the ministry of women affairs is introduced to bring succor to Nigerian women and support them to become entrepreneurs.
The pilot phase of the distribution taking place at the Abacha barracks, in Asokoro Abuja for less privileged women carefully selected from the area.
The minister of women affairs UJU KENNEDDY-OHANENYE says the pink riders scheme is among the countless projects targeted at alleviating the plight of Nigerian women and make them self reliant.
Ohanenye said the scheme has cone to stay not only within the FCT but the whole nation in general.
The women affairs minister wants Nigerian women to stay glued to the ministry’s portal for other numerous mouth watering offers set to be released soon.
