Some women in Kogi state have appealed to President Bola Tinubu to set up an in independent investigation body to unravel what led to the alleged harassment of Kogi state Governor, Usman Ododo and his immediate predecessor, Yahaya Bello, by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

Kogi women operating under the aegis of Kogi Women Group on Good Governance made the appeal during a news conference in lokoja to register their displeasures over the conduct of the anti graft agency on the 18th of September 2024 when they invaded the official residence of the Kogi State Government in Asokoro Abuja.

The aggrieved Women described the alleged shooting at the Kogi State Government official residence in Abuja and the attack on former Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello as political witch hunt by the EFCC.

They accused the EFCC Chairman of gross incompetence, and abuse of office on the N80.2billion allegations against the immediate past Governor of Kogi State.

The women therefore appealed to President Bola Tinubu to set up an independent investigation panel to unravel factors leading to the alleged harassment of Kogi state Governor, Usman Ododo and his immediate predecessor, Yahaya Bello, by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
