Newly appointed Director-General of the National Centre For Women Development, Asabe Vilita Bashir says she will be committed to the enhancement of Women oriented growth Programmes while in office, Bashir made this known while briefing Journalists in Abuja on her first day in office.
Bashir Maintained that the legacies of her predecessors will corroborate her strive to achieve the mandate of the Centre.
She further promised to ensure cordial working relationships through an effective blueprint that will serve the need of women, especially in underserved communities.

Asabe Vilita Bashir holds Ph.D. in Educational Philosophy from the University of Maiduguri, was elected into the Borno House of Assembly in 1997 before proceeding to the national assembly, representing Gwoza, Damboa and Chibok Federal Constituency of Borno State.
