Retail activity at the popular Shoprite Shopping mall along Airport Road in Abuja came to a standstill on Tuesday morning following a protest by workers of the chain store conglomerate.
A workers’ representative who spoke to ait.live says they are picketing their own store over what he called suspected foul play in the alleged sale of the shopping mall.
The worker’s similar protests are holding in all Shoprite stores nationwide as they have all been sold to new owners Shoprite in recent times has become a popular one-stop shop in Nigeria with stores in Abuja and other major cities.
