Team Nigeria is pushing for more medals at the ongoing world athletics championship in Nairobi, Kenya.
The team is raising hope with their performances. Udodii Onwuzurike has proven to be the man to beat in the 200 Metres final as he set a new championship record of 20.1 seconds during the heat.
Team Nigeria men and women will be part of 200m finals this Saturday at 6 pm Kenya Time (4 pm Nigerian time). It was Favour Ofili who made it through to the finals of the women 200 Metres with the fastest time.

In the Long Jump, Nigeria is not left out of the party as Ruth Agadama has qualified for the final coming up on Sunday, going through with a jump of 6.06 Metres. Agadama hit the 6 metres mark on her last attempt which gave her the passage. She would definitely improve in the finals.
