The World Bank-financed Cash Transfer Scheme has been officially flagged off in Zamfara State by Governor Dauda Lawal.
Governor Lawal, who got the scheme going at the Tsafe Local Government Secretariat, said the initiative is to provide 448,141 beneficiaries each with ₦75,000.00 worth of financial support and
is a significant milestone in his administration’s commitment to empowering the most vulnerable people in the state.

Governor Dauda Lawal said 279,534 beneficiaries have been cleared and will receive their debit cards, while the rest are being processed.
He warned officials against any form of tampering with the money meant for the beneficiaries

The governor thanked the federal government, partners and stakeholders, especially the National Cash Transfer Office for their dedication and significant contributions to the programme, and said his administration will continue to partner with relevant individuals and organizations for the overall development of the state and well-being of the people.
