According to a 2019 World Health Organization report on vision ,there are about seventy six million people aged forty to eighty years with glaucoma world wide.
This includes about one point two million adults suffering from the eye disease in Nigeria.
To prevent this needless blindness ,health experts are calling on nigerians to use the 2022 glaucoma week as a reminder to take their eye health more seriously
