As the World marks the 2024 Press Freedom Day, Nigerian journalists have been charged to be truthful and accountable at all times in the discharge of their duties in the face of present environmental crisis facing the country.
This charge was given by speakers at the Ministerial Press Briefing to mark the 2024 World Press Freedom Day in Abuja with the theme,: “A Press for the Planet: Journalism in the Face of Environmental Crisis”.

Minister of State, Environment, Iziaq Salako reminded Journalists of their role as the 4th Estate of the Realm in Nation Building and the need to always amplify the voices of those impacted by climate change.
The Joint Ministerial Press Briefing was organised by the Ministry of Information and National Orientation in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and UNESCO to celebrate year 2024 Press Freedom Day.
