Teachers in Ekiti state have appealed to relevant stakeholders to ensure the welfare of teachers is given priority.
The teachers who bared their minds on the issue on Saturday in Ado Ekiti at an event to Mark the 2024 World Teachers Day also called on government at all levels to provide infrastructure, learning materials for primary and secondary schools across the country.
The teachers further used the day to reaffirm their committment to the teaching profession despite the challenges that come with the job.

Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Monisade Afuye who represented the state Governor assured the teachers of government’s determination to make life better for them.
At the special ceremony, teachers who distinguished themselves were rewarded by the state government.
