Former Olympics wrestling silver medalist Blessing Oborodudu has secured a ticket to the 2024 All Africa Games in Accra, Ghana.
Oborodudu defeated Tokere Appah of Bayelsa State in the 68kg category via pinfall.
Ebi Biogos of Bayelsa and Hannah Reuben of the Nigerian Army also came out victorious in the 72kg and 76kg respectively.
In the male freestyle, Soso Tamarau of Delta and Ashton Mutuwa of Plateau caused an upset in the 97kg and 125kg.
Mutuwa upset national champion Progress Benson of Rivers to secure the Africa Games qualification and Olympic qualifiers ticket.
Similarly, Harrison Israel of Bayelsa dented the hopes of Jackson Oluwafemi of Ondo who is a national champion in the 86kg.
In the 65kg category, Stephen Simon of Bayelsa defeated former national champion Amas Daniel of Bayelsa.
In the 57kg, Enozumini Simon of Edo joined the winning parade by cementing his slot at the Africa Games.
The All Africa Games is scheduled to hold in Accra, Ghana, from March 8 to 24, 2024.
The first Olympic qualifiers for the year will run from March 12 to 20th in Alexandria, Egypt.
