The Minister of the superior court of Brazil, Lelio Bentes Correa has advised the Nigerian government to address inequality that affects access to justice, particularly for those in informal employment, which accounts for more than 70% of the workforce.
Lolie Bentes Correa was speaking in Abuja at the fourth International Labour Adjudication and Arbitration Forum.
Lolie noted that both his country and Nigeria must brace up to accommodate more informal workers and employers in access to justice
Other speakers, including the president of NECA Ifeanyi Okoye and NLC president Joe Ajaero, advocated equity in justice dispensation as it relates to the Tripartite; the worker, employer and Government
For the civil society and other stakeholders in labour, the government must be intentional in ensuring workers; both in the informal and formal sectors, as well as employers enjoy access to justice at all times.
