Youths under the aegis of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and Civil Society Network for Good Governance have threatened a legal suit against the Youth and Leadership Initiative Group over issues raised on the alleged discrepancies of names on the certificates of the Chairman of Federal Character Commission, Muheeba Dankaka.

This was disclosed at a joint press briefing in Ilorin the Kwara State capital by the Vice-President North Central Zone of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Akoshile Mukhtar and Secretary Civil Society for Good Governance, Mohammed Bassah.

The two organizations however claimed to have verified and confirmed the academic certificates presented by Muheeba Dankaka hence fit for the position and also gave seven-day ultimatum to the Youth and Leadership Initiative Group to publish a written apology in the media or face the legal consequences.

The youth Leaders however assured Nigerians particularly the Youths that NYCN will remain steadfast in the drive for a just society where excellence is promoted against mediocre

The Nigerian Senate recently confirmed the nomination of Muheeba Dankaka as the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission.
