The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the Young Progressive People’s Party, YPP, Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo winner of the Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency rerun election with 24,050 votes to defeat his major challenger, Glory Edet of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP who scored 17,232 votes to come second.
Ukpong -Udo stages a return to the Green chamber for a second term having defected from the PDP on whose platform he won his first term.
