Zamalek fans are demanding the immediate sack of head coach, Jose Peseiro following the club’s elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup.
The defending champions were eliminated from the competition by South African club, Stellenbosch on Wednesday.
Zamalek entered the quarter-final second leg match with a slight edge after a goalless draw in Cape Town last week.
Sihle Nduli, however, shocked the White Knights with the winning goal 11 minutes from time.
The Portuguese tactician took charge of the Cairo-based side only a few months ago, but the team’s inconsistent performances have continued under his leadership.
After showing promise in the group stage and the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals, Zamalek crashed out of the tournament with a 1-0 home loss in the return leg, resulting in a 1-0 aggregate defeat.
Zamalek have won five, drawn six and lost two of their 13 games across all competitions under the Portuguese.
